The project HAZELNET is complex with a number of interconnected activities that will lead to significant achievements that were identified with the help of the company’s long-standing partners in the international consulting group of hazelnut producers.The project HAZELNET is complex with a number of interconnected activities that will lead to significant achievements that were identified with the help of the company’s logo-standing partners in the international group of hazelnut producers.
This project will lead to the development of a local supply chain consisting of the company Nelkoski for organic food as an aumbrella organization for supporting small farmers-hazelnut growers in the South-West , North-West and Prespa regions. This chain consist of small organic produce according to EU and BioSwiss organic production practices.
Project is divided into 5 Work Packages (WPs). In WP1. Organization of nursery for new seedlings of high productive hazelnuts, the company intend to establish a nursery in order to replace existing seedlings, as well it will use the services of an agro-consultant.
For the purpose of increasing the production and technological capacities in WP2.
Supply and installation of new equipment and technology, the company plans several sets of activities as supply of agro-machines electric forklift for internal transport, acquire four machines for the needs of the production process , modernization and introduction of a new technology. Also the company would construct new quality storage of hazelnuts. Also, it will hire a Consultant services for implementation of new technology of production of ready-made hazelnut products and design of new products, Preparation of marketing strategy and Energy Efficiency audits. The staff of the company intends to visit 2 fair for organic food and prepare a new website.
By promotion campaign on digital network for region of Austria, Switzerland and Germany and promotion campaign of its products at national level the company plans to increase export and income. In order to improve quality of hazelnuts, the company plans to implement WP4.Support of quality improvement of local supply chain by providing Advisory agricultural services for growing of hazelnuts. Preparation of mobile application for monitoring and advising farmers and Training for farmers for use of application and organic production. Consulting company will also help the company in the process of achieving international standards, certification of the company and 20 farmers. The company intends to make brand protection for export in target EU countries. In WP5 it will Install equipment for production of pellets from hazelnut peels and shells,  install a heating system from produced pellets and install SOLAR photovoltaic energy system with capacity of 25,2 KW.
